Our Process | From Vision to Garden
01
Garden Consultation
Everything starts with an on-site consultation. We'll walk through your garden together, talk about your home, your lifestyle and the opportunities hidden within your space.
Some clients come with folders full of inspiration. Others arrive saying, "I have no idea where to start."
Both are perfectly okay. My role is to bring clarity.
02
Concept & Vision
Once I understand your vision, I begin shaping the concept. Through moodboards, sketches, spatial planning and planting ideas, your future garden starts to take shape.
Rather than overwhelming you with endless options, I create a clear design direction that feels cohesive, timeless and uniquely yours.
03
Design Development
As the concept evolves, every element is considered with intention.
Planting, materials, circulation, atmosphere and functionality all come together to create a garden that's not only beautiful, but practical for everyday life.
You'll receive a complete design package that allows you to confidently move into the next stage.
04
Bring it to life
Whether you choose to work with one of my trusted landscaping partners or your own builder, I'm here to ensure the original vision is respected throughout construction.
Because good design deserves careful execution.
05
Growth
A garden is never at its best the day it's planted. It's in the months that follow, when the plants begin to settle, the seasons leave their mark and the space starts to feel truly lived in, that everything comes together.
Around six months after installation, I'll return for a complimentary check-in visit.
We'll walk through the garden together, see how everything is establishing, answer any questions that may have come up and make sure the design is evolving just as intended.
It's also one of my favourite parts of the process.
Seeing the garden thriving, hearing how you've made it your own and capturing its growth over time is a reminder that great gardens aren't finished when construction ends, they continue to grow alongside the people who live in them.
What makes my approach different?
-
I don't believe sustainability and beauty should exist at opposite ends of the spectrum.
Too often we're led to believe that a sustainable garden must feel wild, or that an elegant garden inevitably comes with endless maintenance.
I see it differently.
I believe nature and design should work together.
Creating outdoor spaces that feel refined without feeling rigid.
Gardens that support biodiversity while remaining timeless and intentional.
Places that invite people to slow down, reconnect with nature and enjoy everyday moments a little more.
It's this balance between beauty, function and sustainability that guides every project I take on.

This experience might be right for you if...
You see your garden as an extension of your home, not an afterthought.
You value thoughtful design and appreciate quality over quick fixes.
You'd like someone to guide the process with clarity, creativity and honesty.
You want a garden that feels beautiful today and continues to thrive for years to come.
-
A successful garden isn't just about where the plants go.
It's about imagining how you'll move through the space long after the project is finished.
Where will you leave your towel before jumping into the pool?
Where will guests naturally gather with a drink in hand?
Will you be carrying groceries through this path? Walking barefoot? Chasing after your dog?
These are the kinds of questions I ask throughout the design process.
Because it's often the smallest details, the ones you don't notice straight away, that make a garden feel effortless to live in.
I believe thoughtful design isn't about adding more.
It's about noticing what others might overlook.
